Methodology and data sources
Publications are ingested weekly from the EPO Open Patent Services and Google Patents Public Data on BigQuery, matched against a published CPC and keyword scope (H01F 1/047, 1/06, 1/08, 1/10–1/113; C04B 35/26; C01B 21/06; C22C 22/00; H02K 19/10; H02K 1/246 plus 30+ terms), deduplicated by DOCDB family, and checked by an automated quality gate before publication. Offices monitored: CN, US, JP, KR, EP, WO, TW and DE, where this technology is filed; any other office is added on a subscriber's request at no extra cost. An automated check refuses to publish any issue citing a number, date or applicant that is not in the ingested record.
Coverage checks
Coverage is measured every week against direct EPO searches (lowest core subtopic at the 2026-10-19 audit: 98.5 %).
Asian filings
Chinese, Japanese and Korean filings with English titles and abstracts where the offices or Google Patents provide them.
Publication lag
New publications reach our sources several weeks after they are published (Chinese ones three weeks or more), so the latest weeks are incomplete.
Office names
Office names identify where publications come from. PatentSonar is not affiliated with or endorsed by any patent office.
